It is an 8 inch tall sacred flaming heart that is surrounded by graceful fleur de lis scrolls and halos.  The ex-voto has a shiny brushed silver finish and is a gorgeous contrast with the golden accents.

The center of the ex-voto is decorated with a petite brass finished, punched tin "PGR".  PGR stands for Per Grazia Ricevuta, which is an Italian phrase that means thanks for prayers received. For hundreds of years, ex-votos have been used as a 'thank you note' to God for receipt of a miracle or an answered prayer.
