The actual beehive portion is about 7  inches tall, plus it has a bendable wire hanger that is another 7 inches tall, so it can be hung from small or large branches. The base of the birdfeeder is 8 inches wide. To use, lift the lid and fill from the top with birdseed. Birds will stand on rim of feeder and feed from the 3 openings around the feeder.
